What WiredSimple collects, what it doesn't, and who processes data on our behalf.

WiredSimple is a static website. It collects as little as it is possible for a website to collect, and this page describes exactly what that is.
What we don't do
- No analytics — no Google Analytics, no third-party measurement scripts.
- No advertising and no advertising cookies.
- No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.
- No accounts, and no sale or sharing of personal data with anyone.
Cookies
WiredSimple sets no cookies.
We do use your browser's local storage for one thing: remembering whether you chose light or dark mode. That value never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to deliver pages and to protect the site from attack and abuse. We use this only in aggregate, for security and reliability. Cloudflare acts as our hosting processor; see the Cloudflare privacy policy.
If you email us, we hold that message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, and we don't add you to anything.
If and when an email newsletter opens, subscribing will be explicit opt-in, every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe, and this page will be updated to name the provider that processes the list before a single address is collected.

Articles link to primary sources on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. In practice the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@wiredsimple.com.
If you're in the UK you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes materially — in particular if analytics or advertising are ever introduced — the updated date at the top of this page will change and the new processing will be described here before it starts.
